It was thus a very special anniversary for us, as it was our first with Milo in our lives, and it was a moment for us to really let sink in this idea that we're no longer 2, but 3, indeed, we're a family!
For us, the best way to celebrate is to be outside with a glass of something tasty (in this case a French micro-brew for me and for Perrine a non-alcoholic version of the same - tasted good!) and simple things to eat like melon and prosciutto, listen to the running water of a stream, and look up at the trees, leaves and sky. So that's what we did, we headed to the Buttes Chaumont park just a 10 minute walk from our apartment.
Milo LOVES looking at the leaves shaking in the trees above, one of my favorite pastimes as well.
Quite appropriately for our anniversary, our picnic blanket is the one that all the women in Perrine's universe signed during her wedding shower in 2008.
We liked being there so much that the next day we came straight back with Perrine's dad Jean-Guy to lounge in the grass and breathe in some more fresh air. Almost makes living in a big city bearable!
I swear he is getting cuter by the minute! Argh... can't believe I won't get to hold him until December!
