We had a very special Thanksgiving this year in Paris, because auntie/sister Rebecca came over from London to make her famous cranberry jello!
Becca and Ajay came over on the Eurostar on Thanksgiving morning, and all together we prepared the first Iverson family VEGAN Thankgiving dinner.
Shepherds pie with mushroom filling, vegan stuffing, caramelized sweet potatoes, cranberries, green beans, wonderful vegan gravy (thanks to Mom/grandma's recipe) & Kale salad with cashew and pomegranate vinaigrette, it was all DElicious!
Becca and Ajay prepared the highlight of the meal, RAW vegetarian pumpkin pie. Hard to imagine, but oh so good (lots of dates and nuts involved).
But since our friends Manal and Fabien, who have spent Thanksgiving with us in the past, couldn't join us Thursday, we had to do it all over again that weekend! So Saturday we gathered up bags of groceries and hopped on the train to head north for Manal and Fabien's new house in the countryside.
We finally arrived at a real country train station...
From Manal and Fabien's house went for wonderful walks...
Back at the house, Milo played with cars and camel and brooms...
And we got toasty by the fire...
Then it was round two of cooking!
... and feasting!
The next morning we headed out to walk off our big meal...
Finally we had to go home, but we sure did have a lot to be thankful for!
