A Visit from Stephanie Seidel... & Terence too!

We recently had a two day visit from our dear old family friend Stephanie, whose family Jeffrey spent many summers with during childhood. Steph has become a regular visitor in Paris, having come with her husband Terence already for a stay and another time as well for work – here she was in Paris again following a conference for her work, which involves providing and Tuberculosis medicine for poor populations around the world and overseeing research programs on the subject.

  Milo took to Stephanie immediately, and spent lots of happy time in her arms.

Stephanie came bearing lovely gifts, brought on behalf of her parents Charlene and Peter, including a number of very cute books and a wonderful set of shadow puppets which will make for some magical and imaginative evenings for Milo. Thank you Peter and Charlene!

It was a very fun visit for Perrine and I, and were left hoping we'll all be able to meet up North in Minnesota again soon for a stay at Ring Rock or a turn in the Boundary Waters. Milo was left giddy as well and in the mood for a jig.

Following Stephanie's visit, we had her husband Terence drop by for an afternoon walk and lazy Sunday lunch together! He was in Paris for the European tour he is doing with the artist and DJ Kid Koala, an old friend of Terence's from his college days. Perrine attended the concert a few days later while dad stayed home to look after Milo.

Terence opens the concert alone with his own music, and is also an active part of the whole rest of the show - here's a look at the concert experience:

Perrine loved the show, and came home with a present for Milo from Terence and Kid Kaola.

We had a nice walk and lunch together, and Terence and Milo had a lot of fun together. Milo likes roughhousing and playing with guy's beards, and Terrence likes roughhousing and playing with babies! It was great hearing all about Terence's experience on the road, getting news from life in New York with Stephanie. We even got a sneak peak of the short movie he filmed at Peter and Charlene's farm! It is currently being prosposed to festivals for competition, and is sure to do well - as you can see from the trailer, it's a very creepy, but also very smart movie.
