After five months

At five months old, Milo is more fun than ever for mom and dad - when his digestive tract is amenable, he is an enthusiastic and easy traveler, and his temperament pretty consistently sunny. Here is a little fashion shoot of his various outfits (thank you everyone) and his moods.

Milo has become quite a giggly boy, especially when pretty girls are around. Tata Lulu (auntie Lucie) got an earful when she came to visit during a recent work conference in Paris.

Grandpa is going to be spending a few days with us in Paris soon after his current work trip to Central African Republic.  He got a sneak peek of how his grandson has grown since this summer when we hopped over to see him during his long layover at the Charles de Gaulle airport this weekend on his way to CAR. It was short but sweet, and we'll see him again in a week.

After hanging out in the concrete jungle of Charles de Gaulle airport, we saw grandpa off and went off for one of our weekend nature walks. Having a baby has made Perrine and I stop complaining about the lack of nature and green spaces we suffer living in Paris, and start trying to do something about it! Our book "Nature Walks Just Outside of Paris" has been thumbed quite a bit now, and we're starting to get off our behinds on the weekends to go get some fresh air.

Recently we discovered a gorgeous little village called Pré-Saint-Gervais just outside of Paris - some of the houses were more luxurious than charming, but it was very sweet and we certainly felt miles away from the busy streets of Paris.

This weekend we hopped back on the train and headed a bit farther away, south of Paris to the city of Châtenay-Malabry where there is a large park called La Vallée aux Loups, where there's an arboretum and a forested area surrounding the former home of the 19th century Romantic author Chateaubriand.

We were in heaven pretty much from the moment we got off the train, the neighborhoods were quiet and the autumn colors were everywhere.

After a 10 minute walk we reached the park.

When we're not off on weekend adventures, we're at home where Milo is constantly surprising us with his new skills.
