Spring Visit from Grandma & Grandpa

Spring brought more than just warm weather and a new President to France this year, it brought Grandma and Grandpa for a long awaited visit!

We stayed around Paris for the long May day weekend, which included a visit to Fontainebleau castle...

Milo liked the medusa head doors, and looking for the symbols of King Francis I...

We had many great meals...



One day grandma and grandpa went to the Musée d'Orsay while Milo and I went to the new Philharmonic for a music introduction class, and a chance to try out the stringed instruments he's curious about – notably the bass!

The highlight of the visit was a trip to the Buttes Chaumont park. We flew the model airplanes Grandpa and Grandma brought from Minnesota...

And best of all, we had an improvised baseball game!

A little girl and her dad were so curious about this strange American game we suggested that she join in...

It was a visit that provided plenty of good memories - enough to last us until the next one!
